"When journalists are under attack, democracy is under attack."

Maria Ressa (CEO and Executive Editor, Rappler.com) delivers a keynote address at DemocracyXchange, a two-day summit that took place in January.  Participants gathered to connect, learn, and talk about the challenges facing democracy and what can be done to strengthen it.

In this keynote, Ressa speaks about the dangers of disinformation, how it has affected the Philippines and the need to protect freedom of the press.
